A WEDDING video capturing both the serious and non-serious aspects of the day is what Garry Govers promises.

Mr Govers, who owns On Target Video Production, uses the latest computer technology to edit and create a finished product that matches the wishes of the customer.

``When people ring us, we sit down and do a plan, and from then we are able to work out a style that they want," he said.

``With the computer programs that we have, and the addition of a wide range of special effects, just about anything is possible.

``The main thing is that I try and make the video a little more interesting and entertaining than what wedding videos normally are.

``Instead of just taping the wedding then handing over the tape to customers, I work with them before the wedding as well, to get the couple walking along the beach or whatever they want."

What the groom and groomsmen get up to on their wedding day can also be recorded, and with the special touches that Mr Govers can add, a good laugh will be had by all for years to come.

``We have the theme from Men In Black among others, and with the computer effects I can add, the results can be very impressive," he said. ``The women usually prefer a more romantic lead-up to the wedding, and that is also quite easy to do."

While the little extras Mr Govers can add liven up a video, those wanting the traditional format are still catered for.

Another aspect he has is the freeze-frame section, which has still images set to music.

``A lot of people like this better that the photos," he said.

Mr Govers said his business started out as a hobby, but as he became more interested he kept on getting better equipment.

With a possible move to the digital video disc technology, Mr Govers is looking to build on his 15 years in the video production business.
