FOR video producer James Feneri, the emphasis is on quality - regardless of the couple's budget.

Mr Feneri, who owns and operates Creative Moving Pictures, uses a top-of-the-range digital video camera that provides incredibly sharp, crisp images.

And it is these clear images the bridal couple gets, no matter whether they're spending several hundred or several thousand dollars.

``I believe in quality, there's no shortcuts," Mr Feneri said. ``Whether they've ordered the cheapest package or the most expensive, the quality's the same. The only difference is the hours I spend on the editing."

Mr Feneri, who jokes that he was ``was born with a camera", has a wealth of experience. He has worked for commercial TV stations and the quality of his work is such that he is regularly called upon to do corporate work.

He has high-quality equipment and uses a computer to edit the video. Also, each copy of the video is made directly from the computer so the quality remains the same.

Mr Feneri is so sure of the quality of his work that, on the first meeting with the bridal couple, he lets it speak for itself.

``They just come in to see the quality and see what I can do, and then they make up their own mind," he said. ``On the first visit, I don't ask anything, They just see what I can do. There's no pressure."

Mr Feneri doesn't show the couple some ``best-of" wedding video - they're shown the one he is editing at the time. That's because he takes the same care with every wedding he films.

If they decide to work with him, Mr Feneri then sits down with the couple and discovers exactly what they're looking for and what can be done within their budget. He covers small weddings to the big occasions.

``I'm used to the big 300 to 400 person weddings, and that's something some people can't handle because it's not easy shooting large weddings," he said. ``But it doesn't mean I don't do small weddings. I've done weddings with 50 people. So, while I do corporate work and big weddings, I also do the one for the couple getting married down the road. Not everyone wants the big Hollywood movie."
